The canton Rotenburg was an administrative unit in the Hersfeld district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The city of Rotenburg an der Fulda in today's district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg was the capital of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace . The canton comprised a city and 12 villages and hamlets, had 4,705 inhabitants and an area of 1.44 square miles .

- Braach with Gut Ellingerode and Gut Alte Teich
