The canton Landeck was an administrative unit in the Hersfeld district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The canton was based on the former Hessian Landeck . The main place and seat of the peace court was Schenklengsfeld in today's district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg . The canton comprised 22 villages and hamlets, had 3,965 residents, and an area of 2.55 square miles .
