Landershausen is a district of the community Schenklengsfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .

Geographical location

The place is about 2.8 kilometers southwest of the main town Schenklengsfeld. It is located on the north-western slopes of the Ringberg ( 451  m above sea level ), in the northern area of ​​the Rhön . The Ringbach rises near the village and flows into the Solz in Schenklengsfeld .

history

Farm on the main thoroughfare

In 1343 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Lentershusen". The spelling of the place name continued to change from Lanttirshausen at the end of the 14th century and "Lendershausen" in 1634. During this time, the village belonged to the Landecker Amt .

On December 31, 1971, Landershausen was incorporated into the community of Schenklengsfeld.

The main thoroughfare is Kreisstraße 18, which connects the place with Konrode and the core municipality and in the opposite direction with Erdmannrode . The next national roads are about eight kilometers away, the federal road 27 and the federal road 62 .
