Wehrshausen is a district of the community Schenklengsfeld in the eastern Hessian district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg .
Geographical location
The place is located southeast of the main town Schenklengsfeld between the Schwärzelsberg and Soisberg .
history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1371. The place name changed from Werichshusen and Werungshusen and Wershausen to the current name. In 1966 Wehrshausen was the national winner in the competition: " Our village should be more beautiful ".
On February 1, 1971, Wehrshausen was incorporated into the community of Schenklengsfeld as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
Infrastructure
