The canton of Frielendorf was an administrative unit in the Hersfeld district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the Justice of the Peace was Frielendorf , the administrative seat of today's municipality of Frielendorf in the Schwalm-Eder district . The canton comprised 27 villages and hamlets, had 5,024 residents, and an area of 2.16 square miles .
The canton included the villages, hamlets and manors:
- Frielendorf, Todenhausen , Linsingen and Gebersdorf
- Spieskappel and Ebersdorf
- Lenderscheid with Lanertshausen and Siebertshausen
- Ropperhausen , Verna and Allendorf
- Wernswig , Lützelwig , Hof Willingshain and Sondheim
- Waßmuthshausen with Rodemann and Dörnishöfe
- Leuderode , Allmuthshausen , Rückersfeld , Steindorf and Baßfelder Hof , Völkershain , Reddingshausen and Schellbach
