Karina Sefron (born July 2, 1967 ) is a former Danish soccer player .

Career

Sefron played until the end of the 1992 season for the Swedish club Malmö FF , before moving to Boldklubben Rødovre from the Copenhagen suburb of the same name at the beginning of 1993 . After only one season, she moved to the reigning German champions TSV Siegen , with whom she finished her first season in Germany as third-placed in the North Group , which was the two-pronged women's Bundesliga at the time . In the DFB Cup competition, however, she reached the final, which was lost on June 24, 1995 in Berlin's Olympic Stadium, however, with 1: 3 against FSV Frankfurt . In the following season, her team came out second in the group north and was thus qualified for the final round of the German championship. After the two- legged semi-final against FSV Frankfurt ended 3-2 on aggregate, their team met SG Praunheim in the final , which on June 2, 1996 in the Frankfurt stadium at Brentanobad with the 1-0 winning goal Michaela Kubat was defeated in the 29th minute. She played her last season for Sportfreunde Siegen , who had taken over the women's football department of TSV Siegen before this season.

From 1997 to 1999 she played for SG Praunheim , whose women's football department founded the 1. FFC Frankfurt on August 27, 1998 , received the Bundesliga license in 1999 and finished the season as champions and cup winners. From 1999 to 2001 she was again active for Sportfreunde Siegen before ending her career at FFC Brauweiler Pulheim after just one season.

National team

Sefron played 71 international matches for the senior national team , for which she made her debut on May 8, 1988 in Herning in a 2-0 victory over the national team of England . In 1991 she took part in the World Cup and was used four times in the tournament. She last played as a national player on March 21, 1998 against the Norwegian national team in the 1: 4 final defeat in the tournament for the Algarve Cup .
