Karl Gottlieb Richter (District President)
Karl Gottlieb Richter (born April 5, 1777 in Prenzlau ; † November 3, 1847 in Langensalza ) was a German government official and honorary citizen of the cities of Minden and Prenzlau.
Karl Gottlieb Richter was government president of the Prussian administrative district of Minden in Westphalia from 1825 to 1847 .
Life
Karl Gottlieb Richter was born in Prenzlau in 1777 and received his discharge certificate from the local high school in 1794. He studied theology, law and cameralia at the University of Halle . From 1796 to 1798 he worked at the Superior Court in Berlin . In 1797 Richter passed the examination for trainee lawyer and in 1798 that of court assessor. From 1798 to 1807 Karl Gottlieb Richter held leading positions at the Royal Chamber of War and Domains in Poznan . In 1807 he was director of justice in Potsdam and from 1808 to 1810 director of the Potsdam City Court. From 1810 to 1814 Richter was legal advisor to the district government in Potsdam . From 1814 to 1816 he held the office of director of the government commission in Halberstadt and from 1816 to 1820 he was government director of the district government in Wroclaw . In 1820 Karl Gottlieb Richter was appointed government vice-president of the government in Breslau and at the same time entrusted with the administration of the high presidium . In 1825 Karl Gottlieb Richter was appointed district president of the district government in Minden, which he held on request until his retirement in 1847.
Karl Gottlieb Richter was a Protestant and married.
Other offices and awards
Karl Gottlieb Richter was chairman of the "Westphalian Society for Culture and the Welfare of the Fatherland" in Minden. He was the bearer of the Red Eagle Order II. Class with Oak Leaves and was awarded the title of Real Privy Council with the predicate Excellence on his retirement . In 1839 Richter became an honorary citizen of Prenzlau and on April 30, 1846 of Minden.
