Moritz von Bardeleben
Heinrich Moritz Albert von Bardeleben (born November 17, 1814 in Zerbst , † January 8, 1890 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer in Prussia, most recently senior president in the Rhine Province.
origin
Moritz came from the noble family of Bardeleben . He was the general of the infantry Moritz von Bardeleben (1777–1868), governor of Koblenz and his wife Charlotte nee. Klaproth (1790-1868). She was the daughter of the chemist Martin Heinrich Klaproth and sister of Julius Klaproth .
Life
After attending grammar school in Koblenz, Bardeleben studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin from 1830/31 . During his studies in 1831 he became a member of the Populonia Bonn fraternity . In 1836 he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD . In the same year he went to the Supreme Court as an auscultator . He became a court trainee in 1838 and in the same year moved to Merseburg as a government trainee . In 1842 he became a government assessor in Koblenz, went to the Upper Presidium of the Rhine Province and was a member of the Provincial School Council. In 1846 he became district administrator of the district of Bernkastel .
From June to November 1848 he was the successor of Julius von Minutoli, who was dismissed because of his attitude during the revolutionary events , of Berlin's police chief , from November 1848 to June 1849 he was provisional government president in the Arnsberg district , and from March to May 1850 he was provisional government president of Danzig . In May 1850 Bardeleben became Geh. Government councilor in the Prussian Ministry of the Interior , in July 1851 a member of the Bundestag in Frankfurt am Main . From 1851 to 1858 he was without official employment and received waiting allowance.
In 1858 he became district president of Minden , in 1866 of Aachen and was from 1872 to 1889 Oberpräsident of the Rhine Province . From 1854 to 1861 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , first as a non-attached member and later as a member of the Mathis parliamentary group . From 1872 Bardeleben was also a member of the Prussian manor house . From 1884 he was honorary president of the "West German River and Canal Association". A Mosel channeling he faced positive.
