Karl von Dörnberg (administrative lawyer, 1863)

Baron Karl Albert Friedrich Hans von Dörnberg (born November 2, 1863 in Siegen , † February 26, 1929 in Innsbruck ) was a German administrative lawyer and member of the state parliament in Hessen-Nassau.

Life

Karl von Dörnberg was the son of Albert von Dörnberg and his wife Emilie, née Poensgen (1836–1902), a sister of the Düsseldorf industrialist Carl Poensgen . Von Dörnberg married Frieda, née Freiin von Massenbach .

Von Dörnberg first studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the University of Leipzig . In 1883 he became active in the Corps Thuringia Leipzig . As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin and the Silesian Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In 1885 he passed the legal traineeship exam in Breslau. He then worked as a trainee lawyer in Krappitz, Silesia, and in Königsberg. He passed the assessor examination in Berlin in 1891.

In 1900 he was appointed as district administrator for the Gersfeld district . After 12 years he was appointed provisional on July 5, 1912 and finally appointed district administrator of the Fulda district on January 6, 1913 . From August 14, 1912 he was also police director of Fulda . He was retired on May 1, 1921, “because of the restructuring of the state”.

From 1904 to 1913 and from 1917 to 1919 von Dörnberg sat in the provincial parliament of the Prussian province of Hessen-Nassau . There he was a member of the submission committee and the main committee.
