biography

In November 2004 Dürr competed in her first FIS races , and a year later she competed in the European Cup for the first time . At the 2007 Junior World Championships in Flachau , she won the silver medal in slalom. On December 29, 2007, Dürr made it into the points on her first appearance in the World Cup when she was 26th in the slalom in Lienz . A week later she reached 11th place in Špindlerův Mlýn . In the 2008/09 season , however, she was only able to score once as 23rd in the slalom of Semmering .

On November 14, 2009, Dürr achieved her first top 10 result in the World Cup in seventh place in the slalom in Levi, Finland , thus fulfilling the DOSB Olympic standard for the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. She achieved the best World Cup result of her career on January 12, 2010 with fifth place in the Flachau slalom . In an internal elimination in Canada, for which she had canceled participation in the Olympic super combination, she lost to Fanny Chmelar and Christina Geiger and was therefore only a replacement for the Olympic slalom on February 27, 2010. On March 24, 2010 she became German Master in the super combination. At the 2011 World Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Dürr finished 23rd in the slalom, while in the 2010/11 season she was among the fastest 13 in the World Cup five times.

In the following season 2011/12 Dürr could not build on these achievements and lost her place in the front starting group in World Cup races. Before the start of the 2012/13 season , the association's financial support was withdrawn, after which she had to do the pre-season preparation at her own expense. After she had not started in a single World Cup race in the 2013/14 season , she announced her retirement on April 26, 2014.
