Adelės Šiaučiūnaitės trikotažo gamybinis susivienijimas ( Eng . "Adelė Šiaučiūnaitė Trikotage Manufacturing Association") was the largest light industry organization and the largest textile business association in Soviet Lithuania , based in Kaunas . Jersey days were produced . The group of companies employed 5,700 people (1981). It consisted of Kauno kojinių fabrikas (“Silva” factory), Kauno trikotažo fabrikas “Audimas” , “Trikotažas” and Kelmės trikotažo fabrikas . There were mines in Gaižiūnai ( Jonava Rajongemeinde ), Jonava , Tytuvėnai , Užventis and Žeimiai .
history
In 1928 the "Silva" factory was founded, in 1935 the company and the " Trikotažas " factory (the predecessor companies were Akcinė bendrovė of A. Gluchovskis and L. Raškeso trikotažo dirbtuvė "Jėga"), and in 1936 the " Audimas " tricot factory in Kaunas and in 1963 the jersey factory in Kelmė. In 1937 the Komsomol activist Adelė Šiaučiūnaitė founded the Komsomol organization in the “Silva” factory. The factory was damaged in World War II and rebuilt in 1945. In 1975 they formed Adelės Šiaučiūnaitės trikotažo gamybinis susivienijimas . The main operation was the "Silva" factory. Socks, half-socks, tights and shirts were produced . From 1977 to 1990 a newspaper "Atšvaitai" (until 1989 m. No. 9/10 "Kolektyvinis darbas") was published twice a week with a tirage of 1500 copies (in 1977). In July 1985 a memorial to Adelė Šiaučiūnaitė was built. The association then became "Auda". They had their own company shop "Rėda".
In 1990 the association was formed. In 1991 the Šiaučiūnaitė monument was dismantled and placed in the company's warehouse. In 1991 the "Silva" factory was reorganized. Several companies emerged from the association: AB "Silva", " Silvos trikotažas ", AB " Kelmės trikotažas ", AB " Pakaita ", AB " Trikotažas " (later AB " Trys sezonai "), UAB "Tributum", UAB Omniteksas and UAB " Kauno tekstilė ". AB “Trys sezonai” and AB “Kelmės trikotažas” later went bankrupt. UAB "Omniteksas", AB "Pakaita" and UAB "Kauno tekstilė" exist to this day (2014).
In September 2001, AB "Trikotažas" donated the dismantled Adelė Šiaučiūnaitė monument to the Grūto parkas park in Druskininkai .
Pakaita
In 1991 the curtain knitting workshop separated from the "Silva" factory and became the state company "Pakaita". The knitwear was produced. In 1992, after privatization, the company became Akcinė bendrovė "Pakaita" (General Manager Algimantas Svilainis). In 1997 it achieved a turnover of 11 million Lt (3 million euros) and in 2013 around 18 million litas (5 million euros). An e-shop started in 2013. In 2014 there were 96 employees.
Kelmės trikotažas
The company AB "Kelmės trikotažas" was founded from the Kelmės trikotažo fabrikas factory on October 1, 1992 in Mažūnai Village ( Užventis District , Kelmė District ). In 1995 you had a loss. In 1996 the company employed 500 people. It produced clothing for foreign companies from customer raw materials. In 1997 it went bankrupt. It was disbanded on June 26, 2002.
Silva
The “Silva” factory was created from Kauno kojinių fabrikas . From this factory the company AB "Silva" (General Manager Vydas Damalakas) was established. The factory had a lot of jersey finishing machines and equipment. AB "Silva" produced children's socks. 170 tons of fabrics were dyed monthly. From 1994 to 1995, socks were exported more than any other Lithuanian knitting mill. After the materials and electricity became more expensive, it was no longer possible to remain competitive with companies from Turkey and Italy . "Silva" needed 6 to 8 times as many workers for the same production. The factory produced 22 million pairs of socks annually. In 1997 there were customers from Italy, Germany, Latvia and Estonia. After the restructuring in 1998, the company owed Lt 9 million (EUR 2.5 million).
On behalf of AB " Trikotažas ", "Silva" had about 30–50 tons of products in the finishing area per month. In 1997 UAB "Logista" sold 25.59% of the shares in "Silva" to Fond "Dobric Consultants LTD". Lithuania had 7.85% shares; the other part belonged to the "Silva" employees. In 1998 "Silva" set up a joint company with "Vasa Trika" ( Sweden ). BĮ UAB "Vasa Trika ir partneriai" had 21 knitting machines and produced tricot fabrics. "Silva" had 18% shares. "Silva" later became insolvent.
Silvos trikotažas
After the bankruptcy of AB "Silva", the company UAB "Silvos trikotažas" was founded by AB " Dirbtinis pluoštas " and "Juglas manufaktura" ( Latvia ). Annual sales of 18 to 20 mln were planned. Lt. 1999 the company UAB "Silvos trikotažas" (General Director Vydas Damalakas). It took over the markets and facilities from AB "Silva". The company expanded from year to year (from 1998 to 1999 sales grew by 535.5%) and belonged to the 400 largest Lithuanian companies. The company was in competition with " Šilkas ", "Brelytus textil" and other Lithuanian companies. Among the customers were " Utenos trikotažas ", AB " Apranga ", AB " Lėvuo ", AB " Pakaita ", AB " Trikotažas ". There were 30 partner companies. In 1999 a turnover of 17 million Lt was achieved. In 2000 there were 400 employees. In 2000, AB "Dirbtinis pluoštas" held 60% of the company's shares. The clothes were sold in 14 different countries, from Scandinavia to Australia . They exported to Finland , Latvia, Estonia, Italy and Germany. In 2002 "Juglas manufaktura" (Latvia) bought 100% of the company's shares. In May 2002 the company became insolvent. It was disbanded on January 8, 2005.
Tributum
On June 10th, 2002 UAB “Tributum” (dyeing of textile and tricot fabrics, finishing ) was established. After the bankruptcy of “Silvos trikotažas”, 160 former employees were hired at the Lithuanian-Latvian company UAB “Tributum” (director Vydas Damalakas). In 2005 UAB “Tributum” was bought by UAB “Omniteksas”. Thus, the entire production cycle from 2007 depends only on "Omniteksas". With lower costs, you got better quality of market innovations. The company offers services to at least 14 companies that dye fabrics or buy materials from “Omniteksas”. In 2011 there were 61 employees. In 2014, “Tributum” owed SoDra 36,138 euros .
Omniteksas
In 2001 the company UAB "Omniteksas" was founded. The founder and director Audronė Pocienė used to work in the Silva factory as an engineer, after which time as the head of the sewing shop . When Silva began to crumble, she established "Omniteksas". The core team also came from Silva-Fabrik. In 2003 the company achieved sales of Litas 2.7 million. During the highest growth in 2007, the annual turnover was 20 million litas (6 million euros). 78% of the production is exported to Scandinavia and Russia. In 2006 a knitting workshop was bought from the Swedish partner. The company's trademarks are "Natalie Silhouette", "Thermowave", "Ombre", "Crazy wave" and "Bambuk". From 2008 to 2011 the turnover of UAB “Omniteksas” grew by 49%. In 2011 the company achieved sales of 11 million euros. In 2014 there were 267 employees. Four designers work at “Omniteksas” (three in the company in Kaunas and one in London ). Among the shareholders is Vydas Damalakas, Purchasing Director of UAB “Omniteksas”. In trading company UAB "Omnitekso prekyba", a subsidiary of "Omniteksas", there are 36 employees (Director Danuta Fedorovič).
Kauno tekstilė
In 2005 the company UAB "Kauno tekstilė" (Director Kęstutis Stankus) was established. It is located on the Vilnius- Kaunas highway . Up to 400,000 pieces of jersey can be produced per year. 95% of the production is exported abroad ( Denmark , Germany , Estonia , Finland and Russia ). The company has 250 pieces of manufacturing equipment. In 2014 there were 67 employees.
