Kevin van Looveren (born June 18, 1986 ) is a Belgian ice hockey goalkeeper ; who has been under contract with HYC Herentals again since 2006 and has played with them in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2016 .

Career

Clubs

Kevin van Looveren began his career in the youth department of HYC Herentals , for whom he made his debut in the Belgian honorary division in 2003 . From 2004 to 2006 he was in the can at Olympia Heist op den Berg , but then returned to his home club, for which he has played continuously ever since. In 2009, 2012, 2017 and 2018 he was Belgian champion with HYC Herentals and also cup winner in 2012, 2013 and 2017 . After taking part in the North Sea Cup with HYC from 2010 to 2012 in addition to his assignments in the Belgian honorary division , he moved to the Dutch honorary division after the Dutch-Belgian competition was closed . Since 2016 he has been playing with the team in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League .

International

In the junior division, van Looveren played for Belgium at the U18 World Championships in 2003 and 2004 in Division II and in 2005 at the U20 World Championship, also in Division II.

Van Looveren was part of the Belgian national ice hockey team for the first time at the World Cup of Division II in 2005 , but was not used as in 2006 . He played his first game at the 2007 World Cup in Division II. He also played there in 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 and 2012 .
