Kewaskum is located in southeastern Wisconsin on both sides of the Milwaukee River , around 40 km west of Lake Michigan . The geographic coordinates of Kewaskum are 43 ° 31'15 "north latitude and 88 ° 13'44" west longitude. The municipality extends over an area of 6.35 km².

The US Highway 45 runs north-south direction as the main road through Kewaskum and crosses here the Wisconsin State Highway 28, . All other roads are subordinate country roads, some unpaved roads and inner-city connecting roads.
The State Trail , a rail trail for hikers and cyclists, runs parallel to US 45 through the municipality of Kewaskum on the route of a former railway line . In winter, the trail can also be used on snowmobiles and skis.
