Klaas Huizing

Klaas Huizing (born October 14, 1958 in Nordhorn ) is a Dutch writer and Protestant theologian.

Life

From 1977 to 1986 Huizing studied philosophy and theology in Münster , Kampen , Hamburg , Heidelberg and Munich . In 1986 he completed his PhD in philosophy , in 1989 his theological and in 1993 his habilitation in theology.

From 1988 to 1995 Huizing worked as assistant and senior assistant at Hermann Timm in Munich. From 1995 to 1998 he was a representative, since then he has been a full professor at the chair for systematic theology and contemporary theological issues at the University of Würzburg . He received several offers from other universities, which he turned down.

His work focuses on hermeneutics , script theology , christology , anthropology , everyday phenomenology , ethics and Judeo-Christian dialogue .

Huizing is married and has two daughters.

Writing activity

He has been a member of the PEN Center Germany since 1997 and in 2007 Huizing took over the editor-in-chief of the culture magazine Opus .
