Klaus-Peter Naumann

Klaus-Peter Naumann (* 1959 in Ahlen ) is a German economist . He is spokesman for the board of directors of the Institute of Auditors in Germany (IDW) and honorary professor for accounting and auditing at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster / Westphalia.

Life

Naumann studied business administration at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1978 to 1983 and completed his studies with a degree in business administration . From 1983 to 1988 Naumann was a research assistant at the Westphalian Wilhelms-Universität Münster in the examination office for economic examinations and at the Institute for Corporate Accounting and Taxation under the direction of Dietrich Börner .

In 1988 he was with a dissertation on the measurement of provisions in the separate balance sheet of commercial and tax law to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. The tax consultant -Examen put Naumann from 1990 before 1996 on the auditor was appointed.

Since 1989 Naumann has been working for the Institute of Auditors in Germany eV (IDW), Düsseldorf, and has been spokesman for the board since 2001. The work at the IDW was interrupted from 1993 to 1995 when Naumann was doing a practical exam at SCHITAG Schwäbische Treuhand-AG (today Ernst & Young) in Stuttgart.

Functions

From 1991 to 2009, Naumann held a teaching position at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, where he was appointed honorary professor in 1997. In 2009 he was appointed honorary professor at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster.

From 1996 to 1999 he was the German delegate of the “Accounting Working Party” and from 1996 to 2001 German delegate of the “Accounting Working Group” of the Fédération des Experts Comptables Européens (FEE). Since 2001 he has been technical advisor to the German delegation in the Council of FEE, technical advisor to the German delegation in the IASC (1998 to 2001). He is the author of numerous specialist publications.

In mid-2015 he was appointed a member of the government commission on the German Corporate Governance Code . He has been a member of the DRSC Board of Directors since 2011.

Member of the advisory board of the Schmalenbach Society for Business Administration (term of office 2019 to 2023).
