Jürgen Pahlke

Jürgen Pahlke (born June 9, 1928 in Berlin ; † June 26, 2009 in Witten ) was a German economist .

Life

Pahlke completed an apprenticeship as a banker from 1946 to 1948 . From 1948 to 1952 he studied economics at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the Free University of Berlin (graduate economist). He then became an assistant to Woldemar Koch at the Free University of Berlin. In 1958 he was at the Law and Economics Faculty of the University of Tübingen with a dissertation Welfare Economics - universal basis of policy decisions for Dr. rer. pole. PhD. Pahlke completed his habilitation with a thesis on tax needs and monetary policy in the growing economy. Money creation as a means of public financing and received the venia legendi for economics, especially finance .

In 1988 he became a lecturer; In 1968 he was appointed full professor for economics, especially finance, at the University of Bochum. From 1982 to 1983 he was chairman of the economic and social science faculty conference .

Pahlke was married and the father of three children.
