Johann Engelhard (economist)

Johann Engelhard (* 1950 ) is a German economist .

Life

Engelhard completed a commercial apprenticeship from 1966 to 1967. After graduating from the Jakob-Fugger-Gymnasium Augsburg (1971), he studied social economics at the University of Augsburg from 1971 to 1975 . He then briefly worked as an assistant to the management of a medium-sized company. Engelhard, he moved to the University of Hohenheim as a research assistant for Klaus Macharzina . In 1983 he was promoted to Dr. oec. PhD.

In 1990 he received his habilitation and was offered the chair for international management at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg . In 1996 he was visiting professor at the University of Strasbourg . He is editor of the MIR-Edition series of publications by Gabler Verlag .

Engelhard was active in various university political committees. From 2000 to 2004 he was Vice Rector for Teaching and Students at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg. From 2011 to 2013 he was dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences and from 2008 to 2013 chairman of the Economic and Social Sciences Faculty Conference .
