Klaus Doberschütz

Klaus Doberschütz (born December 1, 1931 in Koblenz ; † January 21, 2019 in Bonn ) was a German journalist , media specialist, government spokesman and German delegate at international conferences.

Life

Klaus Doberschütz was born in Koblenz in the Rhineland, graduated from high school in Linz am Rhein and studied economics , politics , history and journalism at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn , at the Free University in Berlin and the University of Cologne . In Bonn he became a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Alania Bonn in the CV , in Berlin he joined the Catholic student association KDStV Borusso-Saxonia Berlin in 1953 in the CV . In 1965 he received his doctorate at the University of Cologne under Wilfried Schreiber , the inventor of the dynamic pension , with the socio-political work The social security of the American citizen .

Doberschütz initially worked at the US Embassy in Bonn and later at the German Embassy in Paris . On behalf of the German government, he then helped for many years in setting up information media in Africa , Asia and Latin America , for example in founding the first newspaper in Togo , Cameroon and Somalia . He was also instrumental in setting up television in Sudan , Turkey , India and Pakistan , as well as in the introduction of broadcasting in Ethiopia , Afghanistan , Laos and Ceylon .

Klaus Doberschütz was the official German delegate to the UNESCO conferences in Bangkok , Paris and Rio de Janeiro and to the UNCTAD (world trade conferences) in Geneva (1964) and Delhi (1968).

From 1976 to 1985 Doberschütz was in the government of Ernst Albrecht government spokesman in Hanover and Bonn . From 1985 until his retirement, Doberschütz was department head in the Federal Government's Press and Information Office .

For his commitment to the common good in many honorary offices, he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . He was a bearer of high foreign orders and decorations.
