Klaus Wallprecht

Klaus Wallprecht (born October 9, 1947 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian music teacher and opera singer ( baritone ).

Life

Wallprecht began his artistic career by studying stage design at the Mozarteum in his hometown of Salzburg, from which he graduated with a diploma. He then began his vocal studies with Josef Metternich at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and with Gino Bechi in Florence .

After his first engagement in Klagenfurt , he sang on numerous stages and at various festivals under well-known conductors such as Leopold Hager , Herbert von Karajan and Michel Plasson . His engagements have taken him to Bern , Dortmund , Kassel , Kiel , the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe , the National Theater Munich and the Semperoper and the Volksoper Vienna . He sang at the Salzburg Festival under Karajan and at the Heidenheim Opera Festival .

As a music teacher, Wallprecht teaches a master class at the “Oper Schloss Laubach” association at Schloss Laubach .
