Klein Klessow , in Lower Sorbian Klěšojc , is part of the municipality of the Lübbenau district of Groß Klessow . The place is in the north of the southern Brandenburg district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz .

Klein Klessow is located in Niederlausitz, northeast of the Niederlausitzer Landücken nature park and south of the Spreewald .
history
The area was already settled in the Bronze Age. Klein Klessow was mentioned for the first time in 1447 and from 1449 belonged to a Saxon vassal . Since the 19th century the existing there was under Vorwerk the manor Kittlitz . Then in 1925 it was transferred to the Eigen Scholle settlement company . Around 1900 there were numerous fish ponds southwest of Klein Klessow that were fed by the Dobra . In the middle of the largest pond, the Reichsautobahn (today's Bundesautobahn 15 ) was moved in 1937 and the Spreewald motorway triangle was then built. On January 1, 1928, the community and the manor district Klein Klessow were incorporated into Groß Klessow.
