history

Kluk was first mentioned in a document in 1547. At that time the village belonged to the possessions of the city of Königgrätz and the parish of John the Baptist on the Johannesberg. From 1766 the construction of the new suburb of Neu-Königgrätz started east of Kluk . In 1785 Kluk consisted of 20 houses.

In 1836 the village of Kluk or Kluky in the Königgrätzer Kreis consisted of 24 houses in which 153 people lived. There was an inn in the village. The parish was Neu-Königgrätz. Until the middle of the 19th century, Kluk remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Königgrätz.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kluky formed from 1849 a district of the community Roudnička in the judicial district of Königgrätz . From 1868 the village belonged to the Königgrätz district . In 1924 Kluky broke away from Roudnička and formed its own community. On April 1, 1942, it was incorporated into Hradec Králové. During the territorial reform of 1960 Kluky lost its status as a district of Hradec Králové and was assigned to the district of Nový Hradec Králové. In 2011 there were 1968 people living in the 501 houses in Kluky.
