The Konrad-Adenauer-Gymnasium in Bonn - Bad Godesberg is a municipal high school with around 840 students. The school has its own swimming pool, which the school's canoe club uses. It is located in the Pennenfeld district .

history

The grammar school was founded in 1964 and named after Konrad Adenauer , the first Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany , in 1967 by decision of the then Godesberg City Council . A school building of its own was built from 1968 to 1970 on the basis of an architectural competition based on plans by the Cologne architect Peter Busmann . Today the Konrad-Adenauer-Gymnasium has three courses, optionally with full-day lessons in secondary level I (5–10) or lessons in traditional half-day classes in secondary levels I and II. The college includes 62 teachers and a few trainee teachers.
