Pennenfeld ( spoken in the local dialect Pennefeld ) is a district of the federal city of Bonn in the Bad Godesberg district . Located south of the center of Godesberg, it is surrounded by the districts of Muffendorf , Lannesdorf , Rüngsdorf and Alt-Godesberg . The southern part of Pennenfeld is also known as Pennenfeld-Lannesdorf and the northern part as Pennenfeld-Muffendorf.
Until the middle of the 20th century, this area was still undeveloped field landscape. It was only in the course of the transformation of Bonn into the federal capital that extensive new housing estates were built , including a HICOG settlement ( HICOG settlement Muffendorf / Pennenfeld ), and several schools were settled.
With two high schools ( Konrad-Adenauer-Gymnasium and Amos-Comenius-Gymnasium ), two secondary schools, a secondary school and a primary school, Pennenfeld forms the focus of the school landscape in Bad Godesberg, which has the highest density in all of Germany.
There are also the Protestant Johanneskirche and the Catholic Church of St. Albertus Magnus, as well as the Pennenfeld Sports Park on the border with Lannesdorf.
