history

Bunker on Dransdorfer Berg

The first settlement finds in the Dransdorf area date from Roman times .

middle Ages

In 1139 a Cuno by Travinstorp is mentioned by name, to whom the Dransdorfer castle is attributed. In 1224 the place appears in the name of the knight Lambertus de Draynstorp.

Modern times

Dransdorf rule

Constantin von Lyskirchen (1604 to 1672), born in 1604 , was the son of the mayor and his wife Gertrud von Reck. He was the grandson and great-grandson of Cologne mayors and called himself Herr zu Dransdorf, after the rule near Bonn that had been in the possession of the Lyskirchen family from Cologne since the 16th century . In 1631 Constantin married the mayor's daughter Margarethe von Rottkirchen (1609 to 1665), who bore him six daughters during the course of their marriage. Lyskirchen was mayor of Cologne between 1640/41 and 1670/71. One illustration shows him with a sword hanger and rapier , so that it is assumed that he was represented as a representative of the nobility. Constantin lived on his income as a rentier and large landowner.

Tax documents from 1658/64 list 17 farms for Dransdorf. In 1689 the village was destroyed during a siege of Bonn.

In the 19th century, Dransdorf belonged to the neighboring village of Endenich and, from 1815, to the Poppelsdorf mayor in what would later become the district of Bonn . When the mayor's office was dissolved on June 1, 1904, Dransdorf was incorporated into the city of Bonn together with endsich .

In 1897 Dransdorf received a stop on the Vorgebirgsbahn , in 1898 a railway depot. In 1912 and 1927 the parish gradually became independent. During the Second World War , a bunker was built on Dransdorfer Berg in 1941–1943.

In the 1960s, a high-rise estate was built that made the place a social hotspot . This settlement was redeveloped as part of a so-called “integrated action plan to improve the quality of life”; In addition, there were other measures such as the creation of the Bonn-Nord green corridor, a bypass road and other traffic calming measures .

Attractions

traffic

The district has a very good transport infrastructure connection to the city's public transport network. With several bus lines, the tram lines 18 and 68 at the Dransdorf station of the Vorgebirgsbahn and the lines 63 and 16 at the Tannenbusch Süd stop on the Rheinuferbahn , the city center and other centers can be reached in a short time.
