About this picture

The district of Eutin was from 1937 to 1970 a district in the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein or in the state of Schleswig-Holstein . Today his area belongs to the Ostholstein district .

history

The Eutin district was formed under the Greater Hamburg Act on April 1, 1937 from the Lübeck part of the State of Oldenburg and the four municipalities of Dissau , Krumbeck , Kurau and Malkendorf of the State of Lübeck and incorporated into the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein . The Oldenburg region of Lübeck had formed the Principality of Lübeck until 1919 . At the same time as the Eutin district was formed, the municipalities of Dissau, Krumbeck, Kurau and Malkendorf were incorporated into the municipality of Stockelsdorf .

As a result of the district reform of 1970, the Eutin district was combined with the Oldenburg in Holstein district to form the new Ostholstein district with the district administration in Eutin . The unification took effect on April 26, 1970 on the basis of the "second law on the reorganization of municipal and district boundaries of December 23, 1969".
