The Krumbach is a 15 km long stream in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach and the city of Amberg in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria , which flows into the Vils from the left after a roughly south-south-west run in the area of the municipality of Kümmersbruck .

course

The Krumbach arises at over 455  m above sea level. NHN on the eastern edge of the village of Urspring von Hirschau in the tree-lined interior of a fork in the road. It runs the first 400 meters to the east to a little over 2 hectares at 448  m above sea level. NHN lying pond in front of the St 2238 Hirschau– Steiningloh and the hillside forest Hohenschacht behind it. It then flows out of the lake, accompanied by the road, in a south-westerly direction and soon picks up at Mittelmühle near two chains of ponds with a tributary from the right from Urspring and two from the left from or from the edge of the forest area on the left slope. Then he goes through the area of the Schwärzermühle and then passes the village of Steiningloh on the right on the slope.

On the now long almost southern course, it then follows further down the valley to the western edge of the Freudenberg village of Immenstetten , after which the AS 30 runs in the small valley basin that borders a large industrial area hidden behind trees in the west. Behind a small waldenge, the corridor opens on the left to the field markings around Freudenberg- Aschach , here on the left, directly on the brook, the Greßmühle is opposite the large Amberg forest Wagrain .

A little afterwards, the Krumbach changes entirely to the area of the city of Amberg, runs through Raigering and passes the Kleinraigering on the right slope . Then it separates the easternmost parts of the closed urban development of Amberg on the west hill from the Krumbach district , which extends up the left slope from the bank.

Immediately afterwards, it changes to the area of the municipality of Kümmersbruck , where it creates a narrow arc of almost 180 ° to the southeast around the village of Moos . In the run change to the southwest, it crosses Gärmersdorf and runs under the B 85 . In addition to the AS 27, it then enters the northwestern part of the Kümmersbruck settlement on the Gärmersdorfer submarket. After it has passed through it, it flows across from the village of Haselmühl at 370  m above sea level. NHN from the left and northeast into the Vils running here to the southeast .
