history

In the Middle Ages Steiningloh did not belong to Hirschau, as it does today, but to the Vogtei Vilseck and thus to Bamberg area. The Vogtei Vilseck was divided into three courts, the upper or Hahnbacher court, the Gibbacher court and the lower or Poppenrichter court, also called peasant law above Amberg or below the Erzberg. Steiningloh was part of the Gibbach court.

By the first Bavarian community edict, Steiningloh was assigned to the tax district and the district court of Amberg and thus to the Naab district in 1808 . After the Naabkreis was dissolved in favor of the Mainkreis and the Regenkreis , Steiningloh was assigned to the Regenkreis in 1810 together with the Amberg District Court (from 1838 Oberpfalz and Regensburg ).

Through the second Bavarian community edict, Steiningloh became an independent political community in 1818.

On January 1, 1970, the Steiningloh community was incorporated into the Mimbach community.

On January 1, 1972, the place of Mimbach, which was added to Hahnbach, was umgemeindet to Hirschau.
