Location of Krickelsdorf in Hirschau

Krickelsdorf is a district of the town of Hirschau in the district of Amberg-Sulzbach in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

history

In a list by Ignatz Biechl from 1783, Krickelsdorf is not mentioned.

In a directory by Johann W. Melchinger from 1796, Krickelsdorf is mentioned as the desert Kriggelsdorf belonging to the Hirschau court , the Amberg rent office and the Regensburg diocese .

In 1818 Krickelsdorf was merged with Großschönbrunn, Kleinschönbrunn and Ölhof and from then on formed the Großschönbrunn district. At the tax district level, Krickelsdorf remained assigned to Atzmannsricht.

In 1838 a separate district court was founded in Vilseck. In the course of this, Krickelsdorf was separated from the Amberg district court as part of the community Großschönbrunn and assigned to the new Vilseck district court.

As early as 1840, a chapel in Krickelsdorf, which is in a ruinous condition, is mentioned.

In a directory from 1840, Krickelsdorf is given as belonging to 22 houses and 145 inhabitants and the parish of Lassenbach .

In August 1859, the village applied for the consecration of its newly built chapel.

In 1861 the village chapel was rebuilt and expanded because it was too small and damp.

In a statistic of the German schools from the year 1866 a side church in Krickelsdorf is mentioned, which belongs to the parish of Gibbach .

In 2013 and 2014 a public sewage system will be built in Krickelsdorf. The project was rescheduled several times. A separate sewage treatment plant at the eastern entrance to the town, connection options to the waste water supply in Gibbach and a connection to the sewage treatment plant in Hirschau were up for discussion. Ultimately, the decision was made to connect to the treatment plant in Hirschau. For this purpose, a sewage pressure pipe was built in 2013. The cost was around 550,000 euros. The 4400 meter long pressure pipe leads from Krickelsdorf over the Himmelweiher to an end shaft of the mixed water sewer in the Weinbergstrasse in Hirschau. From there, the wastewater is fed into the Hirschau sewage treatment plant in a free gradient. In 2014, around 600 meters of local sewers, connecting lines and a central pumping station will be built in Krickelsdorf. Following the civil engineering work, the restoration of the road surface and the design of open spaces begin. The total costs for the project amount to 1.8 million euros, for which the Weiden Water Management Office has promised funding of 280,000 euros.

Population development

In 1859 Krickelsdorf counted 134 souls in 22 houses.

Filial Church of the Holy Trinity

Filial Church of the Holy Trinity

The Gibbacher Chronik shows that there was a chapel in Krickelsdorf as early as 1840 in the property tax cadastre “on the property of the Kanneshansl, Hs.-Nr. 17, presented ". However, this had become a nuisance for the whole community, since it had "stood in an inconspicuous place and was in a completely ruinous state". The citizens' wish was to build a small church in which the sacrifice of Mass can be celebrated.

On August 24, 1859, Johann Schlosser, Georg Dotzler and Peter Wisgickl appeared as representatives of the locality at the Giving Bach pastor Meyer and declared that “the shell of the chapel, which was built with parish and district police approval, is finished”. An altar with the image of the Trinity was purchased from the Wutschdorf Church and a bell weighing 88 pounds. After lengthy negotiations, the Ordinariate granted permission for the inauguration on October 25, 1859. Pastor Meyer performed it on December 12, 1859.

The Hirschau parish priest Kotz, who had to provide the ordinariate with an expert opinion, reported at the time “that the chapel was built in a very decent place, massive and not shapeless, but the altar is tasteless”. The ordinariate announced on March 9th, 1860 that there was nothing wrong with setting up the Way of the Cross, but because of the poor durability of the material (paper), “the benediction cannot be granted to it”. It turned out that building chapels was too modest or even too fainthearted. The little church was rebuilt and expanded in 1861 because it was too small and too humid and reneded on October 15, 1861. In September 1949 the chapel received a new bell weighing 81 kilograms from a Westphalian foundry. It was donated by Xaver and Anna Flierl. It was consecrated on September 18, 1949 by Pastor Schlosser in Gibbach with the local bells.

The church has been owned by the town of Hirschau since March 1980, when Krickelsdorf was "re-pastured" fromhabenbach to Hirschau.

On February 24, 1985 the Hirschau parish priest Edwin Völkl authorized the restored Stations of the Cross of the branch church with the permission of the Hirschau painter Grünwald. The cost had been several thousand euros. The last fundamental renovation of the chapel was completed in 1962 with a festive service celebrated by the Hirschau parish priest Norbert Demleitner. Hirschau's mayor, Helmut Rösch, put the cost at 110,000 marks. The episcopal finance chamber had assumed a third of the costs, the district and the district granted grants.

For the 150th anniversary of the church, the residents of Krickelsdorf renovated the church. The city of Hirschau subsidized the measures with almost 16,000 euros. Auxiliary Bishop Reinhard Pappenberger, country pastor Holger Kruschina and pastor Hans-Peter Bergmann celebrated the festive service for the chapel's 150th anniversary on July 17th, 2011.

The baroque style chapel is dedicated to the Holy Trinity .

Gasthof zur Linde

There has been an inn in Krickelsdorf since 1795. Today's inn was built in 1910 by master bricklayer Johann Schüsselbauer from Holenbach with a gable, mansard roof , bat dormers and bay window. Since the handover to today's landlady Sieglinde Wittmann, great-granddaughter of builder Martin Dotzler, there have been several renovations. The dining room, front door and box window have been preserved in their original form.
