Kula is a city and a district of Turkey in the Manisa Province . In 2008, 24,076 people lived in the city and 52,986 in the district. The area of ​​Kula is known for the rock formations of volcanic origin called Yanıkyöre , which is why the area is also called the Cappadocia of the Aegean region by some visitors .
