Kulm is a district of the city of Saalburg-Ebersdorf in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
Geography and geology
The farming village of Kulm lies high above the city of Saalburg on a plateau sloping to the west with 512.84 hectares of agricultural land in the south- east Thuringian slate mountains . The direct traffic connection to Saalburg is given by a steadily rising road. On the heights and the following slopes to the Bleiloch reservoir of the Saale and its bays there is mostly forest. The place Kulm lies at the highest point in the Saalburg area. Neighboring towns are the town of Saalburg to the south, the hamlet of Kloster to the west, the village of Gräfenwarth to the north and the town of Wernsdorf to the east .
With the 730 of the KomBus transport company , Kulm has a connection to the cities of Schleiz and Tanna .

Kulm was first mentioned in 1223. In the same year the Church of St. George was founded. In 1974 Kulm was incorporated into Saalburg . In 2016, 105 people lived in the Kulm district.
