Wernsdorf is the second smallest district in terms of population in the city of Saalburg-Ebersdorf in Thuringia .

geography

The district of Wernsdorf is located about three kilometers east of the core town of Saalburg on Landstrasse 2356. To the east of the town, the federal motorway 9 passes the town. The closest connection points are at Bad Lobenstein and Schleiz . Wernsdorf is located on an agriculturally used plateau and topographically belongs to the Thuringian Slate Mountains . The terrain sloping west to the bank of the Bleilochtalsperre is part of the town hall. To the north and south are wooded slopes that extend to the tributaries of the Bleilochtalsperre.

Neighboring places are south of Künsdorf , west of Saalburg , Kulm , Kloster . Then the reservoir follows.

The location, made up of four-sided courtyards, is grouped around a small pond in the center. A source brook rises on the southern edge of the village and flows over the Triebigsbach into the nearby Bleilochtalsperre .
