Kurityán is a medium sized Hungarian community in the county of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .
Geographical location
Kurityán is located in north-eastern Hungary on the broad edge of the Sajó valley . The city of Sajószentpéter is 10 km away, the city of Miskolc 25 km (both to the southeast).
Not far from the town there is a Batthyánys castle , the Batthyány-Kastély.
Neighboring communities are Felsőnyárád 2 km and Szuhakálló 5 km. The nearest town is Kazincbarcika , 10 km from Kurityán.
