Izsófalva (formerly Disznóshorvát ) is a Hungarian large village in the county Kazincbarcika in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén .
Geographical location
Izsófalva is located in northern Hungary , 26 kilometers north of Miskolc , on the small river Ormos-patak . Neighboring communities are Ormosbánya , Rudolftelep Kurityán and Szuhakálló . The nearest town, Kazincbarcika , is about 10 kilometers south of Izsófalva.
history
The place was called Disznóshorvát until 1950 and was then renamed after the sculptor Miklós Izsó , who was born there.

Road No. 2609 runs through Izsófalva. Passenger traffic on the railway line from Kazincbarcika to Rudabánya was abandoned in 2007, so travelers have to use the bus to the nearest train station in Kazincbarcika.
