Kurt von Reventlou

Kurt Graf von Reventlou , also Reventlow (born November 6, 1834 in Kiel , † October 13, 1914 in Damp ) was a Prussian administrative officer and Schleswig-Holstein politician .

Life

Kurt von Reventlou was born as the son of the Schleswig-Holstein statesman Friedrich von Reventlou and Luise Freiin Löw von und zu Steinfurth . After visiting the Württembergischen reformatory Salon and Katharineum Lübeck until Easter 1853, he studied at the Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Berlin and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law . In 1854 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . After passing the court assessor examination, he was initially a public prosecutor's assistant. From 1867 to 1877 he was District Administrator of the Guben district and from 1870 to 1873 a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .

In 1877 he returned to his home in Holstein and succeeded his father as the monastery provost in Preetz . In 1888 he became state marshal and in 1889 first chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein Provincial Parliament and its Provincial Committee. In 1890 he became a member of the Prussian manor house , to which he belonged until 1914. Von Reventlou was chairman of the Schleswig-Holstein general synod . He was married to Luise von Qualen without children.
