Career
Anderson was already rated as one of the best young players in his age group in the Dallas-Fort-Worth metroplex while he was still in school at North Crowley High . After graduating from high school, he stayed in his hometown and received a scholarship from Texas Christian University . Their college teams Horned Frogs were still playing in the Mountain West Conference (MWC) of the NCAA before they joined the Big 12 Conference in 2012 during Anderson's student days . Anderson had previously been named MWC Freshman of the Year in the same year after he had been a starter in the majority of the games and had scored almost ten points, the highest value of all MWC freshmen that season, and three assists per game. For the first time since 2005 and under the aegis of coach Jim Christian, the Horned Frogs achieved a positive balance at the end of the season, but lost their quarter-finals in the MWC championship tournament clearly against the Rams of Colorado State University . Nevertheless, for the first time since 2005, it was enough for a postseason participation in the College Basketball Inivitational (CBI), in which one was eliminated in the second game. Under the new coach Trent Johnson, however, they only achieved eleven wins of the season in 2013, only two of them against opponents of the Big 12, so that the last-placed team of the Big 12 completely missed a postseason except for their championship tournament. This did not change in the following two years, in which they even remained without a win in championship games against the new opponents in the Big 12 in 2014. Only in Anderson's senior year was an upward trend noticeable. In addition to four wins in 18 games against opponents from the Big 12 and the first win in an elimination game in the Big 12 championship tournament, victories against opponents from outside the conference resulted in a positive season balance. Nevertheless, the Horned Frogs were denied an invitation to another nationwide postseason tournament. Individually, however, Anderson was one of the best players on his team and was among the top ten in almost all categories of the all-time list of the Horned Frogs .
Anderson's individual achievements were nevertheless not sufficient to be considered in the 2015 NBA Draft by a club in the highest endowed professional league NBA . Instead, Anderson started his professional career in Europe and first played in the 2015/16 season for the professional Belgian club Okapi Aalstar from Aalst in the Scoore League . After finishing third in the qualifying round, Anderson reached the final series of the Belgian championship, which was lost in four games after defeating defending champion Telenet Oostende . For the following basketball Bundesliga in 2016/17 , Anderson moved to the German first division club BBC medi from Bayreuth . Under the new coach Raoul Korner , the Bayreuthers, led by Anderson and his compatriot and teammate in guard position Trey Lewis , improved significantly and confidently reached the play-offs for the German championship in fourth place for the first time since the "recovery" 2010. In the first round of the quarterfinals, they had home rights against EWE Baskets Oldenburg , which they were defeated in four games after just one win.
