The vehicles with track numbers 61, 62 II and 67 were built for Localbahn AG (LAG) from Munich . The three vehicles built for the Walhalla Railway between Stadtamhof and Donaustauf , and later to Wörth an der Donau , were delivered in 1902, 1904 and 1908. The three locomotives remained on their main line until they were decommissioned.
The vehicles had a frame designed as a water tank, a control type Heusinger and a chimney with a brim. On top of the long cauldron, next to a high steam dome, was an angular sandpit . The tow wheel set was designed as a Bissel axle . Due to the good running properties, the maximum permissible speed was increased from an initial 25 km / h to 35 km / h.
When the LAG was taken over by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in 1938, the three locomotives were classified in the 99 series with the numbers 99 251-253. From 1949 they belonged to the inventory of the Deutsche Bundesbahn .
After the operation with diesel locomotives had started, the last of the steam locomotives was no longer used. The locomotive with the number 99 251 was retired on April 24, 1956. It was followed by the number 99 252 on October 17, 1959. The last number 99 253 was retired on August 8, 1960. It has stood as a memorial on Stadtamhofer Hauptstrasse near the lock of the European Canal in Regensburg since 1976 .
The vehicles could hold 0.8 tons or 1.047 tons of coal and 2.3 m³ of water.
