The Landesmusikrat Saar eV is the regional music council of the Saarland with its seat in Saarbrücken .
Act
As a registered association , the Landesmusikrat Saar takes care of the development of music culture in Saarland. Cultural policy measures in the field of musical life are supported, projects and competitions are initiated which aim to promote both non-professional music-making and the promotion of young talent for music professions. Securing music lessons in schools is also an issue. One of the goals is to maintain music-related contacts with France ( Lorraine ) and Luxembourg .
Twice a year, the Landesmusikrat publishes a journal that presents both its own work priorities and other topics related to musical life in Saarland.
The measures are mainly financed from the income of the Saartoto . The members work on a voluntary basis.
Members
The members of the association are professional and regional associations as well as institutions of musical culture. The member associations are each represented by a delegate.
