The Landesmusikrat Sachsen-Anhalt eV is the regional music council responsible for the state of Saxony-Anhalt . As the umbrella organization for music, it represents the interests of around 50 institutional members: national associations, state representatives and other institutions involved in musical life in Saxony-Anhalt. The office is located at Große Klausstraße 12 in Halle (Saale) .
The State Music Council of Saxony-Anhalt, founded on June 25, 1990, is the first State Music Council to be established in the new federal states after German reunification . He has been a member of the German Music Council since 1998 .
tasks and goals
The State Music Council of Saxony-Anhalt represents 120,000 musicians through its specialist representatives. Its task is to promote and maintain the maintenance of music in the country and to represent the interests of all areas of music in educational, cultural, social and legal issues. One focus is youth and adult education. He mediates the interests of music associations, orchestras , choirs and musical educational institutions. In order to solve his tasks, he represents the interests of his members vis-à-vis the state government of Saxony-Anhalt and has been sponsored by this since 1992. He is also represented in municipal bodies and national professional organizations and advocates the promotion of musical cultural relations abroad and international cooperation.
organs
The organs of the Landesmusikrat are the general assembly, the presidium and the managing director. The general assembly, as the highest decision-making body, includes the associations and institutions, the individual members and the honorary members.
The honorary executive committee includes nine representatives of the musical life of the state of Saxony-Anhalt elected by the general assembly. The management with the five employees is the administrative organ of the matters of the Landesmusikrat. The specialist presentations are assigned to it. The state committees represented include youth musicians , orchestral musicians, choral work and the management bodies of the youth jazz orchestra, the youth symphony orchestra and the state youth choir.
Projects
The State Music Council of Saxony-Anhalt contributes to the shaping of musical life in Saxony-Anhalt with its own projects and cooperations, for example through the youth symphony orchestra, the youth jazz orchestra and the state youth choir and the implementation of the state competition "Jugend musiziert" and the youth music festival.
