history

Already in the time of the principality of Bayreuth , to which the village Kirchenlamitz belonged until 1791, there was a court here. Subsequently, the place came to the Kingdom of Prussia . After four years of French occupation, the place and the castle became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1810 . In the course of the reorganization of the kingdom, the district court of the older order was founded in 1812. On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the district court was dissolved and a district court in Kirchenlamitz was formed, the superordinate instance of which was the district court Hof .

After the war-related downgrading of the Kirchenlamitz District Court to a branch of the Wunsiedel District Court and the confirmation of this measure in 1956, on July 1, 1959 , on the instructions of the Bavarian State Minister of Justice , the Kirchenlamitz court was finally repealed.
