The state elections in Burgenland were held on April 24, 1927 and were the 3rd state elections in the state of Burgenland . On the same day, the 1927 National Council election was held in Austria , with the Burgenlanders voting with one vote for the Landtag and the National Council at the same time. The Social Democratic Workers' Party of German Austria (SDAPDÖ) was able to increase its share of the vote to 40.7% and gain a mandate, but with 14 out of 32 mandates it fell behind the unified list of the Christian Social Party (CSP) and the Greater German People's Party (GDVP) had. The CSP had achieved 13 seats in 1923, the GDVP had failed because of its entry into the state parliament, in 1927 the two parties were able to achieve more votes than the SDAPDÖ for the first time and together achieved 14 seats. In addition, the Landbund ran again for Austria , which suffered a loss of votes and with 16.6% lost two seats and subsequently appointed 5 members of the state parliament.
