Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China

The Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China is a ministry that reports to the State Council .

The areas of responsibility include agriculture and aspects of environmental protection that are related to agriculture, horticulture , fishing , consumer protection , animal husbandry , animal welfare , food , hunting and hunting. Also included are research and development in the field of agriculture.

The ministry was founded in September 1954 and is based in Beijing .
