Lansen-Schönau
Lansen-Schönau was a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It was administered by the Lake Landscape Department in Waren , based in the city of Waren (Müritz) . 459 inhabitants lived in an area of 19.81 km² (as of December 31, 2010).
Today the municipality belongs to Peenehagen .

The municipality of Lansen-Schönau in the Mecklenburg Lake District was about 10 km from Waren (Müritz). The wooded area around Lansen-Schönau was north of the Müritz and northwest of the Torgelower See . The hilly surroundings reached 96 m above sea level near the district of Schwarzenhof . NHN . The nature park Mecklenburgische Schweiz and Kummerower See connected to the west of the Lansen-Schönau district . In the north the community had a share in the Rittermannshagener See .
The districts of Alt Schönau , Johannshof, Lansen , Neu Schönau and Schwarzenhof belonged to Lansen-Schönau .
history
The municipality of Lansen-Schönau was created on January 1, 2005 through the merger of the previously independent municipalities of Alt Schönau and Lansen. On January 1, 2012, it merged with the neighboring communities of Groß Gievitz and Hinrichshagen to form the community of Peenehagen .
Attractions
- The church in Lansen , a towerless Gothic brick building, was built around 1400
- The church in Alt Schönau is an equally towerless field stone building from the early Gothic period, which was later partially renovated
- Lansen Manor: One - storey half-timbered building with a mansard-like cripple hip ; Well of the families von Meyenn (until 1793), von Randow , von Hahn (1798–1932), then settled.

Infrastructure
Lansen-Schönau was on the road from Malchin to Waren (Müritz) . The next train station is in Waren, from where there is a connection to Berlin and Rostock via the Lloyd Railway and to Parchim via the Mecklenburg Southern Railway . Until 1998 there was also a stop on the now disused railway line Waren – Malchin .
