Lanz is a district of the municipality of Störnstein in the Upper Palatinate district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The village is 1.6 km north of Störnstein am Reiserbach . It rises about 300 m east of Lanz and flows 2 km west into the Waldnaab .

A municipal road connects the place with Störnstein. State road 2172 runs immediately to the north . The village of Oberndorf is on the north side of the street, directly opposite .

history

Lanz (also Lönitz, Löncz, Lanndts, Lantz ) was mentioned in the Salbuch from 1366. The interest register of 1514 mentioned Lanz with 3 goods. The land register of 1602 led Lanz to 4 estate and a shepherd house.

Lanz belonged to the Lobkowitz rule of Störnstein-Neustadt. This included 20 localities and 28 others in the Waldthurn area. In 1641, Störnstein-Neustadt was raised to a prince -dignified county under Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz . The rulership was divided into 4 quarters: Neustädter Viertel, Altenstädter Viertel, Denkreuther Viertel and Oberndorfer Viertel. Lanz belonged to the Oberndorf district.

The land register of 1653 recorded 6 teams in Lanz and the register of subjects from 1741 listed 5 farms, 1 Tripflhäusl and 6 teams for Lanz. In 1742 Lanz had 5 farms, 1 houses, 1 horse, 15 oxen, 12 cows, 9 young cattle, 6 mother sows, 3 newborns and 3 goats. In 1797 there were 5 farms, 1 house and 6 lordship subjects in the place.

In 1807 Prince Franz Josef von Lobkowitz Duke zu Raudnitz sold the County of Störnstein-Neustadt to the Crown of Bavaria .

In 1808/1810 the Lanz tax district was formed. The political municipality Lanz with the districts Lanz, Oberndorf, Wöllershof, Reiserdorf and the solitude of Ernsthof was established in 1818 by the municipal edict in Bavaria.

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Lanz was incorporated into Störnstein on January 1, 1972.
