Lars-Göran Åslund (born June 7, 1945 in Åsarna , Jämtland ) is a former Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Åslund, who started for Åsarna IK , came in second place with the relay at the Svenska Skidspelen in 1969 and 1970. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1970 in Vysoké Tatry , he was world champion over 15 kilometers and won the bronze medal with the relay. He also achieved sixth place over 30 km and fifth place over 50 km. Two years later he finished 18th at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , 11th place over 30 km and fourth place with the relay. In the same year he came second in the 30 km run at the Svenska Skidspelen in Lycksele . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1974 in Falun , he was fifth over 30 km.
