Lars Erik Jacobsson (born December 10, 1960 in Jönköping ) is a Swedish football coach . After a playing career in the lower class, he trained several clubs in Superettan and Allsvenskan .

Career

Jacobsson played for Huskvarna Södra IS , IF Reif and Markaryds IF in the lower league area. At his last station he was also a youth coach until 1989, after which he took over his first full-time coaching position at the amateur club Råstorps IF . In 1992 he returned to Markaryds IF as head coach, and in 1994 he moved on to Älmhults IF . The third division IS Halmia signed him in 1997. With the team he rose through the relegation games in the second division, but there they had no chance and finished last. About Åhus Horna BK , which he looked after in 1999, he came to the fourth division club Ängelholms FF in 2000 . At the end of the season season winner, he rose with the club in the third division. Here, too, he dominated the championship with the team and made it through to the second-rate Superettan as a relay winner ahead of Ystads IF and Helsingborg Södra . The newcomer was directly in the relegation battle, so Jacobsson was fired and replaced by Mats Jingblad .

Jacobsson then initially returned to Markaryds IF, but for the Allsvenskan season in 2004 he moved as assistant coach from Jan Andersson to Halmstads BK in the first division. After the runner-up behind Malmö FF , he became a sought-after man and moved to the second division club Östers IF . Here, too, he was successful, as runner-up in the 2005 season , he rose with the club to the Allsvenskan. There the club had almost no chance, with only four wins this season, the club from Växjö was relegated directly.

From 2007 Jacobsson initially worked as a Riksinstructor at Svenska Fotbollförbundet , where he was responsible for the youth work. However, he returned during the second division season in 2008 to the coaching bench, in July he took over the IF Limhamn Bunkeflo, which was in the relegation battle . With the club, however, he missed relegation in relegation. In early 2009 he returned to Halmstads BK in the Allsvenskan as Andersson's assistant. He inherited this after a 13th place in the table in the previous year before the start of the 2010 season . In twelfth place, the season result was hardly better, so the club decided to change coach again and dismissed him immediately after the end of the season. The Spaniard Josep Clotet Ruiz was signed as his successor .

In December 2012, the first division club Mjällby signed AIF Jacobsson together with Anders Linderoth as assistant coach to the new head coach Anders Torstensson from the 2013 season . In mid-October of the following year Jacobsson moved up after the dismissal of Torstensson to head coach and ended the season with the club in eleventh place in the table. In July 2014, the club dismissed him lying on the relegation place in the Allsvenskan.
