Lars Volden (born July 26, 1992 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with HC Dukla Jihlava in the Extraliga since 2017 .
Career
Lars Volden began his career as an ice hockey player in Manglerud Star's youth department , where he was active until 2008. Then the goalkeeper moved to the Stavanger Oilers , for whose second team he ran from 2008 to 2010 in the second Norwegian division, the 1st divisjon . In the 2009/10 season he also made his debut for the club's professional team in the GET-ligaen and was Norwegian champion straight away with Stavanger .
In the summer of 2010, Volden moved to the youth department of Espoo Blues from Finland. With their U20 juniors, he was runner-up in the top national division in this age group in the 2010/11 season. In the 2011 NHL Entry Draft , he was selected in the 6th round by the Boston Bruins at a total of 181st position, but also stayed in Espoo in the subsequent period. In the 2011/12 season, the Norwegian also stood for the first time for the professional team of Espoo Blues in the SM-liiga between the posts and stayed with the club until 2014. He was temporarily used in the Mestis near Jokipojat .
Between 2014 and January 2017 he was goalkeeper for Rögle BK . In his first season there he rose with his club from the HockeyAllsvenskan to the Svenska Hockeyligan .
International
With Norway, Volden took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championship in the top division in 2009 and the U18 World Junior Championship in Division I in 2010 , when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, as well as the U20 World Junior Championship in Division I. In 2010 , when he had the best catch rate and the lowest goals against goals in the tournament and was also voted the best player of his team, and he took part in the 2011 U20 World Junior Championship in the top division .
He was in the squad of the Norwegian men's selection at the World Championships of the top division in 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , but when he was not used, and 2015 . He also represented his colors at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi .
