The Laudenbach (front right) flows into the Kahl (from right to left) |
The Laudenbach or Kleinlaudenbach is a left tributary of the Kahl in the district of Aschaffenburg in the Bavarian Spessart .
Surname
The name Laudenbach consists of the Old High German hludira or the Middle High German words lût and bach and means rushing, loud brook . The Laudenbach gave the places Großlaudenbach and Kleinlaudenbach their names.
The same root of the name is also found in the stream name Western (today Westerbach , formerly Weysluthera) which flows through the Westerngrund .
geography
course
The Laudenbach rises on the Degen-Weg south-east of Kleinlaudenbach in the Schöllkrippen forest at the foot of the Eselshöhe ridge , below the Laudenberg (478 m). It flows in a northwesterly direction through the Laude reason and from Klafferborn strengthened. In Kleinlaudenbach he used to split into two arms and run the Bachmühle . After the Laudenbach has crossed under the Kahltal-Spessart-Radweg , it flows into the Kahl opposite Großlaudenbach .
