Lawrence Trent (born April 28, 1986 in London ) is an English chess player .
Life
Lawrence Trent has a degree in Romance Studies . In addition to being a chess player, he is also known as a moderator and commentator of chess competitions, for example the London Chess Classics and the World Chess Cup . From June 2015 to January 2017 he was the manager of Grand Master Fabiano Caruana .
successes
At the 31st Andorra Open 2013 in Erts , Lawrence Trent received a prize for the best game of the tournament for Black's victory in Albins Counter-Gambit against Héðinn Steingrímsson .
Since August 2005 he has held the title of International Master . He achieved the norms for this at a tournament in Porto San Giorgio in August 2003 with over-fulfillment, in which he won against the grandmasters Iván Faragó , Lexy Ortega and Igor Efimov , and in the Four Nations Chess League in the seasons 2003/04 and 2004/05 .
