Igor Efimov ( Russian Игорь Борисович Ефимов ; born September 16, 1960 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian chess player . He played for Italy between 1996 and 2007 and has played for Monaco since 2007.

He won the Italian individual championship twice: 1997/98 in Reggio nell'Emilia and 1998 in Saint-Vincent . He played for Italy at the 1998 and 2000 Chess Olympiads and for Monaco at the 2008 to 2018 Chess Olympiads . He also took part in the European team championships four times (1997 and 1999 for Italy, 2007 and 2009 for Monaco).

In France he plays for the CEMC Monaco , with which he became French team champion in 2002 .
