Levan Aroshidze ( Georgian ლევან აროშიძე , with the World Chess Federation FIDE Levan Aroshidze ; born July 9, 1985 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian chess player who has been registered for the Spanish Chess Federation since July 2015.

Life

In 1995 he received a silver medal at the youth world championships in the U10 age group in São Lourenço . Boris Grachev became world champion . At the 8th University World Cup in Istanbul in 2004 , which was won by Pawel Smirnov , Aroschidze finished fourth. Levan Aroschidze lives in Banyoles , Girona province and has won many chess tournaments in Spain.

With NTN Tbilisi he took part in the European Club Cup 2004 in Izmir . He also played club chess in Turkey (together with Tamas Gelaschwili and Nino Churzidse for Denizli Erbakir SK ), Spain (for Banyoles and Escola d'Escacs de Barcelona ), Catalonia (for Balaguer ), Portugal (for Clube Tap Portugal ) and Belgium (for the Schaakclub Wachtebeke ).

In February 2005 he was awarded the title of International Master . He achieved the norms for this at the BSCA Open in Batumi in July 2001, at the student world championship in September 2004 (also a norm for obtaining the title of Grand Master ) and at the European Club Cup in October 2004. Levan Aroschidze has been Grand Master since 2006. He achieved the two missing norms at the 14th International Open in Kavala in August 2005 and in the Turkish first division in the 2005/06 season. The title has been applied for in June 2006, but he had to wait until October 2006, when he required Elo had not yet reached by the 2500th
